ectoplasmic hello

“Learning and thinking are like being outside the door; sitting in meditation is returning home to sit in peace.” The Buddha

Oh how I love coming home to the farm. It is full of natural cues to let me know what’s been going on. The height of the fields for instance, the spread of the wildflowers, the level of the lake, the condition of the Labyrinth, the sorts of birds, the colors of trees, the number of leaves on the ground already….
Just as I was pulling up the driveway a steady breeze blew through the valley and two large handfuls of bright yellow leaves shook off the tree by the lake and fluttered softly spinning to the ground, reflecting the bright shiny sun having just peaked through the clouds on an otherwise overcast day.
“Hello farm, nice the see you too,” I thought as I waved back and continued up the driveway.

Also, Blake, can you tell me what's going on in those photos of the bug? What is that?

that was the greatest answer i've ever heard. one day, before it's all said and done, you should come out and do a thourough investigation of the bug balance at the farm. i have a feeling the life cycles of bugs are metaphorically warning us all over this place... can't wait for thanksgiving
